If you use our website for information purposes only, that is if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect data that your browser transmits to the page server (so-called "server log files"). When you access our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:

  • Our visited website
  • Date and time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not passed on or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.

3) Hosting & content delivery network

Shopify

For hosting our website and displaying the page content, we use the system of the following provider: Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland ("Shopify")

For data transfers to Canada, an adequate level of data protection is ensured by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

4) Cookies

To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, that is small text files that are stored on your device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted again when the browser is closed (so-called "session cookies"), while others remain on your device for longer and allow page settings to be saved (so-called "persistent cookies"). In the latter case, you can find the storage period in the overview of the cookie settings of your web browser.

If personal data is also processed by individual cookies we use, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR either for the performance of the contract, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR in the case of consent given, or in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the site visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them, or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general.

Please note that if you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

5) Contacting us

5.1 Our own review reminder

Solely on the basis of your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, we use your email address for a one-time reminder to submit a review of our services after the contract has been fulfilled. You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the controller responsible for data processing.

5.2 When you contact us (for example via the contact form or email), personal data is processed solely for the purpose of processing and answering your enquiry and only to the extent necessary for this.

The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If your contact is aimed at a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Your data will be deleted when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and provided that no statutory retention obligations apply.

6) Data processing when opening a customer account

In accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, personal data will continue to be collected and processed to the extent necessary if you provide it to us when opening a customer account. You can see which data is required to open an account from the input mask of the corresponding form on our website.

You can delete your customer account at any time by sending a message to the above address of the controller. After deletion of your customer account, your data will be deleted provided that all contracts concluded via it have been fully processed, no statutory retention periods apply and we have no legitimate interest in continued storage.

7) Use of customer data for direct marketing

7.1 Subscribing to our email newsletter

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing further data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. For sending the newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, which ensures that you only receive newsletters once you have expressly confirmed your consent to receive the newsletter by clicking a verification link sent to the email address provided.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. In doing so, we store your IP address registered by the internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later date. The data we collect when you subscribe to the newsletter is used strictly for this purpose.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning. After unsubscribing, your email address will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list without delay, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your email address beyond this for advertising purposes, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.

After unsubscribing from the newsletter, your email address may be stored in a so-called blocklist and compared from there with recipient lists of future newsletters in order to technically prevent newsletters requiring consent from being sent again. This processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in avoiding unwanted advertising mailings in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

7.2 Sending the email newsletter to existing customers

If you have provided us with your email address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers by email for goods or services from our range that are similar to those already purchased. In accordance with Section 7 (3) of the German Act against Unfair Competition (UWG), we do not need to obtain separate consent from you for this. The data processing in this respect is carried out solely on the basis of our legitimate interest in personalised direct marketing in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If you have initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, we will not send you any emails.

You are entitled to object to the use of your email address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by notifying the controller named at the beginning. You will only incur transmission costs according to the basic rates. After receipt of your objection, the use of your email address for advertising purposes will be discontinued immediately.

7.3 Klaviyo

Our email newsletters and other promotional email communication are sent via this provider: Klaviyo, Inc., 125 Summer St., Ste 600, Boston, MA 02110, USA

On the basis of our legitimate interest in effective and user-friendly email marketing, we pass on the data you provided when subscribing to this provider in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR so that it can send the emails on our behalf.

Subject to your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, the provider also carries out a statistical evaluation of the success of email campaigns by means of web beacons or tracking pixels in the emails sent, which can measure opening rates and specific interactions with the content of the newsletter. Device information (for example time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system) is also collected and evaluated, but not merged with other data sets.

You can revoke your consent to email tracking at any time with effect for the future.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that protects the data of our site visitors and prohibits disclosure to third parties.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

7.4 WhatsApp newsletter

If you subscribe to our WhatsApp newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers via WhatsApp. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your mobile phone number.

To receive the newsletter, you add the mobile phone number we provide to the address contacts of your mobile device and send us the message "Start" via WhatsApp. By sending this WhatsApp message, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR for the purpose of sending the newsletter. We will then add you to our newsletter distribution list.

The data we collect when you subscribe to the newsletter is processed exclusively for the purpose of advertising via the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by sending us the message "Stop" via WhatsApp. After unsubscribing, your mobile phone number will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list without delay, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.

Please note that WhatsApp Business has access to the address book of the mobile device we use for this purpose and automatically transfers telephone numbers stored in the address book to a server of the parent company Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For sending our WhatsApp newsletter, we therefore use a mobile device whose address book only stores the WhatsApp contact details of our newsletter recipients. This ensures that every person whose WhatsApp contact details are stored in our address book has already consented, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, to the transfer of their WhatsApp telephone number from the address books of their chat contacts when they first used the app on their device by accepting the WhatsApp terms of use. A transfer of data of users who do not use WhatsApp and/or have not contacted us via WhatsApp is therefore excluded.

For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by WhatsApp, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the WhatsApp privacy policy: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/?eea=1#privacy-policy

We have concluded a data processing agreement with WhatsApp that protects the data of our newsletter recipients and prohibits disclosure to third parties.

As part of the above processing, data may be transferred to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

7.5 Shopping cart reminders by email

If you abandon your purchase with us before completing the order, you have the option of being reminded once by email of the contents of your virtual shopping cart.

The only mandatory information for sending this reminder is your email address. Providing further data is voluntary and may be used to address you personally. For sending the email we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, which ensures that you only receive a notification once you have expressly confirmed your consent by clicking a verification link sent to the email address provided.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR for sending a shopping cart reminder. In doing so, we store your IP address registered by the internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later date. The data we collect when you register for our email notification service is used strictly for this purpose.

You can cancel the shopping cart reminders at any time by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the beginning. After cancellation, your email address will be deleted from the distribution list set up for this purpose without delay, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.

8) Data processing for order handling

8.1 To the extent necessary for contract processing for delivery and payment purposes, the personal data we collect is passed on to the commissioned transport company and the commissioned credit institution in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.

If we owe you updates for goods with digital elements or for digital products on the basis of a corresponding contract, we process the contact details you provided when ordering in order to inform you personally as part of our statutory information obligations in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. Your contact details are used strictly for notifications about updates we owe and are only processed by us for this purpose to the extent necessary for the respective information.

8.2 Use of payment service providers (payment services)

- Klarna

One or more online payment methods of the following provider are available on this website: Klarna Bank AB, Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden

If you select a payment method of the provider in which you make advance payment (for example credit card payment), the payment data you provided during the ordering process (including name, address, bank and payment card information, currency and transaction number) as well as information about the content of your order will be passed on to the provider in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. In this case, your data is passed on exclusively for the purpose of payment processing with the provider and only to the extent necessary for this.

If you select a payment method in which the provider makes advance payment (for example purchase on account or in instalments or direct debit), you will also be asked during the ordering process to provide certain personal data (first and last name, street, house number, postcode, city, date of birth, email address, telephone number, and where applicable data on an alternative means of payment).

In order to safeguard our legitimate interest in determining the solvency of our customers, we forward this data to the provider for the purpose of a credit check in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. On the basis of the personal data you have provided and other data (such as shopping cart, invoice amount, order history, payment experience), the provider checks whether the payment option you have selected can be granted with regard to payment and/or bad debt risks.

In addition to the provider's internal criteria in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, identity and credit information from the following credit agencies may also be included in the decision as part of the application check:

https://cdn.klarna.com/1.0/shared/content/legal/terms/0/de_de/credit_rating_agencies

The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical procedure. The calculation of the score values includes, but is not limited to, address data.

You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to us or to the provider. However, the provider may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.
- PayPal

One or more online payment methods of the following provider are available on this website: PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg

If you select a payment method of the provider in which you make advance payment, the payment data you provided during the ordering process (including name, address, bank and payment card information, currency and transaction number) as well as information about the content of your order will be passed on to the provider in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. In this case, your data is passed on exclusively for the purpose of payment processing with the provider and only to the extent necessary for this.

If you select a payment method in which we make advance payment, you will also be asked during the ordering process to provide certain personal data (first and last name, street, house number, postcode, city, date of birth, email address, telephone number, and where applicable data on an alternative means of payment).

In order to safeguard our legitimate interest in determining your solvency in such cases, we forward this data to the provider for the purpose of a credit check in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. On the basis of the personal data you have provided and other data (such as shopping cart, invoice amount, order history, payment experience), the provider checks whether the payment option you have selected can be granted with regard to payment and/or bad debt risks.

This website uses PayPal Checkout, an online payment system from PayPal that consists of PayPal's own payment methods and local payment methods from third-party providers.

When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or, if offered, "Pay later" via PayPal, we pass on your payment data to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter "PayPal") as part of payment processing. The transfer is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR and only to the extent necessary for payment processing.

For the payment methods credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or, if offered, "Pay later" via PayPal, PayPal reserves the right to carry out a credit check. For this purpose, your payment data may be passed on to credit agencies in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of PayPal's legitimate interest in determining your solvency. PayPal uses the result of the credit check with regard to the statistical probability of payment default for the purpose of deciding whether to provide the respective payment method. The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). Insofar as score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical procedure. The calculation of the score values includes, but is not limited to, address data. You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to PayPal. However, PayPal may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.

If the PayPal payment method "purchase on account" is available and selected, your payment data is first transmitted to PayPal to prepare the payment, whereupon PayPal forwards it to Ratepay GmbH, Franklinstraße 28-29, 10587 Berlin ("Ratepay") to carry out the payment. The legal basis in each case is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. In this case, Ratepay carries out an identity and credit check in its own name to determine solvency in accordance with the principle already mentioned above and passes on your payment data to credit agencies on the basis of the legitimate interest in determining solvency in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. A list of the credit agencies that Ratepay may use can be found here: https://www.ratepay.com/legal-payment-creditagencies/

Consumers who conclude contracts on this website for which a statutory right of withdrawal exists have the option of declaring their withdrawal via an electronic withdrawal function in accordance with the applicable withdrawal provisions.

When using the withdrawal function, in addition to information identifying the contract to be withdrawn from, further personal information such as the consumer's first and last name and email address must be provided or confirmed.

The collection of this information and its transmission to us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR and only to the extent necessary for the proper processing of the withdrawal. Also on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, the personal data provided is used to confirm receipt of the withdrawal declaration by email. A further legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. We are legally obliged to provide an electronic withdrawal function for consumer distance contracts subject to payment.

9) Retargeting/remarketing and conversion tracking

Meta Pixel with advanced matching

Within our online offer, we use the "Meta Pixel" service of the following provider in advanced matching mode: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland ("Meta")

If a user clicks on an advertisement we have placed on Facebook or Instagram, "Meta Pixel" adds a parameter to the URL of our linked page. After redirection, this URL parameter is then entered into the user's browser by a cookie that our linked page itself sets.

On the one hand, this enables Meta to identify visitors to our online offer as a target group for displaying advertisements (so-called "ads"). Accordingly, we use the service to display the Facebook and/or Instagram ads we place only to those users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (for example interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Meta (so-called "custom audiences").

On the other hand, "Meta Pixel" can be used to track whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an advertisement and what actions they take there (so-called "conversion tracking").

In addition to "Meta Pixel", which transmits data to Meta via your browser, the "Meta Conversions API" may also be used. If it is used, information about certain actions on our website (so-called "events", for example page views, adding products to the shopping cart, initiating the ordering process or completing an order) is transmitted via an interface directly from our server to Meta's servers rather than via your browser. This serves to make the measurement of the success of our advertisements more reliable, for example if browser-side transmission does not take place or only takes place incompletely due to technical restrictions. In particular, the following data may be transmitted to Meta via the "Meta Conversions API": type and time of the event, URL accessed, information on ordered products and their value, your IP address, information on your browser and device (user agent) and the identifiers stored in the Meta cookies.

In order to better identify users whose data we have received in the context of business or business-like relationships as part of the statistical evaluation, we use the advanced matching function as part of conversion tracking. For this purpose, we also transmit customer data (above all email addresses and telephone numbers, but also names and addresses) electronically to Meta via "Meta Pixel" and, if used, the "Meta Conversions API". Meta does not receive access to plain data, as the information is converted into an unreadable character string by means of a hash procedure before or during transmission. The information converted in this way can then only be used by Meta to assign it to existing Meta accounts that the data subjects have set up. This enables user interactions to be traced across all services and devices linked to the respective Meta account.

To avoid duplicate collection of the same information by "Meta Pixel" and "Meta Conversions API", each event is assigned an identifier by which Meta merges the transmissions.

All transmitted data is stored and processed by Meta so that it can be assigned to the respective user profile and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Meta's data use policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data may enable Meta and its partners to place advertisements on and outside of Facebook.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for reading information on the device used and the server-side transmission of data via the "Meta Conversions API", is only carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "cookie consent tool" provided on the website. After revocation, no more data is transmitted to Meta via the "Meta Conversions API" either.

We are jointly responsible with Meta for the collection of data via "Meta Pixel" and the "Meta Conversions API" and its transmission to Meta (Art. 26 GDPR). For this purpose, we have concluded an agreement on joint responsibility with Meta, the essential content of which you can access at https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum.

For the evaluation of the data, the matching of contact data transmitted to Meta, its assignment to predefined events and the creation of measurement and analysis reports, Meta acts as our processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR and is obliged to protect the data of our site visitors and customers in accordance with the data processing agreement at https://facebook.com/legal/terms/dataprocessing.

The information generated by Meta is generally transferred to a Meta server and stored there; in this context, it may also be transferred to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

10) Tools and miscellaneous

Cookie consent tool

This website uses a so-called "cookie consent tool" to obtain effective user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The "cookie consent tool" is displayed to users when they access the page in the form of an interactive user interface on which consent for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be given by ticking boxes. Through the use of the tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user gives the corresponding consent by ticking the box. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user's respective device if consent has been given.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to save your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in this process.

If, in individual cases, personal data (such as the IP address) is nevertheless processed for the purpose of storing, assigning or logging cookie settings, this is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.

A further legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. As the controller, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user consent.

Where necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider that ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

Further information on the operator and the setting options of the cookie consent tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.

11) Rights of the data subject

11.1 The applicable data protection law grants you the following data subject rights (rights of access and intervention) vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, whereby reference is made to the stated legal basis for the respective conditions of exercise:

  • Right of access in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR;
  • Right to rectification in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR;
  • Right to erasure in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR;
  • Right to restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR;
  • Right to be informed in accordance with Art. 19 GDPR;
  • Right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR;
  • Right to withdraw consent given in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR;
  • Right to lodge a complaint in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR.

11.2 RIGHT TO OBJECT

IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON THE BASIS OF OUR OVERRIDING LEGITIMATE INTEREST AS PART OF A BALANCING OF INTERESTS, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT TO THIS PROCESSING WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED. HOWEVER, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CONTINUE PROCESSING IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING. YOU CAN EXERCISE THE OBJECTION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES.

12) Duration of storage of personal data

The duration of storage of personal data is determined by the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing and, where applicable, additionally by the respective statutory retention period (for example retention periods under commercial and tax law).

When personal data is processed on the basis of express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, the data concerned is stored until you withdraw your consent.

If there are statutory retention periods for data that is processed within the scope of legal or quasi-legal obligations on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, this data will be routinely deleted after the retention periods have expired, provided that it is no longer required for the fulfilment or initiation of a contract and/or we have no legitimate interest in continued storage.

When personal data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, this data is stored until you exercise your right to object in accordance with Art. 21 (1) GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

When personal data is processed for the purpose of direct marketing on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, this data is stored until you exercise your right to object in accordance with Art. 21 (2) GDPR.

Unless otherwise stated in the other information in this declaration on specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
